Ludacris came to wilmingotn NC to play. The student body of UNCW was not to happy to have our tution go up and then have some of it spnet on bringing him.

When the concert happened I think only maybe half the tickets were sold.

He sucks.

he do you consider good?

who would hav eyou prefered to perform

Ludacris, at least when he raps he entertains people like the some of you. I hate those friggin rappers that only rap about money, cars, 24" rims with TVs up in the grill. I mean come on, that's all I hear from them. Some examples of them are the Hot Boys, (Juvenile, Big Tymers now known as Baby, Jay-Z) I like rappers that rap for a cause, like 2Pac and Biggy did. Another good example is Bone Thugs and DMX.

Well going off the subject, Jay Z is the most overrated rapper in the world. His music sucks! It blows! I have no idea why people buy his songs. Well, some of his songs are alright, but he's way too overrated.

As main stream as he is I'm gonna go ahead and say that I like him for his pure entertainment value. His songs make me laugh and put me in a good mood. I dont really listen to him for anything else but the entertainment bobbin my head in my car factor. And who doesnt like flying down the highway screaming move bitch get out the way. His beats are hot too but as a lyricist he does fall short but on the same token he isnt trying to claim he is the best. He is an entertainer and he is good at it. I've seen him live too and was quite impressed.

Youz a hoe youz a hoe i said that youz a hoe HOE! I mean that song is hilarious and clever entertainment, you must distinguish between lyricists and rappers, sometimes you dont want to listen to deep thoughts and metaphors all you want to do is roll out with twin glock 40's rollin on 20's

"I got a letter from the government the other them bitches told me they caught a shipment of my yay....they on their way"

who would you consider to be the best lyracist??? I think luda is one of the best right now. his beats are fresh and his rhyms are the sh!t. but i agree w/ you in that he doesn't have the deeper meanings in his tracks as others (tupac) but he is basically what rap is all about, which is Phat freestyle skillz

The school paid for him to come, even though tickets could be bought by ANYBODY. And even with ticket sales open to all, he still only got maybe half the seats filled. Wilmington is less than 2 hrs from Myrtle Beach and Raleigh, so if he is half as popular as you THINK he is, then it should have sold out, instead it did not and wasted mine and other students money.

I rather they spent that $50,000 on a artist that people would have come and seen. Very bad marketing and a lot of people involved were in hot water over it.

So it is in middle of nowhere?

Ludacris is one of the few mainstream rap artists that like. Dope beats and funny as hell. Sure, his lyrics might not be the most profound stuff ever, but who the fvck cares?

Not really, Wilmington is probably the biggest coastal city in NC. That isn't saying much, but we have to think relatively here 😀

Well that just backs up what I thought of you by your last statement, you know nothing.

You really think he writes his lyrics? Please, the guy couldn't write his own name. Plus, the beats are made up by something called a drum machine. Most studios have them, if you like the beat so much, buy one of those, it'll save you money and keep the idiot rappers off the tv.

Luda came to UT last year for a free to students concert at our annual "forty acres fest" The place was packed, and I don't even think half of them were UT students. Ya, but I wouldn't pay to see him.

Ja Rule dose have alot of good music, his topics after his first cd went down the shaft though IMO(don't like the fact that he thinks his fans are tired of him because he's so "great"). I'm not a big Luda fan, he's alright to listen to sometimes but he's to slow and he trys a little to hard. He draws words out which eventually gets very annoying to me.

:Q
Holy sh!t!!!! You mean that drum machines program themselves????
rolleye.gif

Heaven forbid that those rappers take away time from the quality artists on television. So what bands do you like MTV boy?

who's watching MTV? Not me...

Drum machines come with preprogrammed beats (most generic beats found in the rap industry) andmost of the time the producer at the studio comes up with everything.

what other music TV station are you talking about?

Yes, drum machines sometimes come with preprogramed beats, but there are these crazy things called copyrights that prevent other people from selling them. I venture to say that 99% of producers make their own beats.

For someone who has no respect in the music industry it must be easy for you to belittle the work of others. If you think creating the next hot beat to be bumpin in a club is so easy give it a shot jerky
