Lucid Thunderbolt GPU

I didn't see this posted anywhere.

This is exactly what I want. Lucid works well for me on the desktop, so I imagine this is the exact same since Thunderbolt is just PCIe.

Thoughts?

Thunderbolt is just PCIe

As I understand it, Thunderbolt is PCIe x4. So it's somewhat slower than a normal PCIe x16 slot.

It's more like x2.5. The host controller is fed by an x4 connection, but a single channel is only 10Gb/sec (x2.5) bidirectional. And I don't know if you can bridge together multiple channels for the same device.

It's slower than PCI 2.1 x16 but faster than x8.

So it's good enough to run current video cards like this. All you have to do is buy an external thunderbolt case to house a PC video card.
