That's very cool. Wish they had better lighting in the video though.

As I understand it, Thunderbolt is PCIe x4. So it's somewhat slower than a normal PCIe x16 slot.
It's more like x2.5. The host controller is fed by an x4 connection, but a single channel is only 10Gb/sec (x2.5) bidirectional. And I don't know if you can bridge together multiple channels for the same device.
