Lucasarts hasn't done anything worth a damn since Jedi Knight. The other Star Wars that were any good (Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Academy) were done by other dev teams anyways. What do they do anyways besides whore out the stale Star Wars IP?

The game would be awesome with a better force targeting system and by taking away stationary targets in the game. The ability to target objects the avatar is looking at instead of where the camera is looking would be more intuitive too. Great story that just needs better gameplay support to be implemented IMO.

I don't think anyone is surprised.

Lucasarts' excuse of "Ummm, PC users wouldn't get the full experience because consoles are so technologically advanced!" was bullshit, and we all recognized it. Let's face it: Lucasarts hasn't made great games since the Tie Fighter / The Dig / Day of the Tentacle days.

Nah, they realize they don't have much inhouse talent anymore, so they settle for making medicore console games.

TFU was pretty fun when I played the demo in a friend's room. I always liked the late-game part of KOTOR 1/2 where you can basically just throw people around instead of actually fighting, and TFU is basically that all game. It would be a fun, casual PC game.

Dark Forces was good, Jedi Knight was great - it was downhill from there. KotOR I & II were good.

But EaW wasn't developed by LucasArts, it was developed by Petroglyph Studios. And let's not forget that the best of the Star Wars games weren't even developed by LucasArts, they merely published them and just gave the "green light" for those developers to go on with their project(s).

Titles such as:

Knights of the Old Republic by BioWare
Jedi Knight II by Raven Software
Battlefront by Pandemic Studios
Empire at War by Petroglyph Studios
Tie Fighter by Totally Games

And perhaps a few others I'm forgetting, there's so many Star Wars games of course, and were numerously developed especially during the PSX/N64 and up to the PS2 and XBOX era, and during the 16-Bit gaming age, but many of them weren't developed by LucasArts.

And even if they did developed some few noticeably good Star Wars games or just non-SW games like The Dig for instance all of that is the past and they haven't been "good" since then. I don't think that for us PC gamers not having The Force Unleashed in our games library will make any of us drop tears.

Last excellent Star Wars game developed by Lucasarts themselves was Jedi Knight.

Last excellent licensed game was KOTOR I.

Lucasarts made the greatest adventure game back in the day...

How I miss those days *sob sob*. Now we just have macho gritty manfests.

What would the storyline be? How many ancient Dark Lords of the Sith were there, they seem to keep cropping up. ;)
