Lube job?

I change my oil (my car damit) every 3000 or so miles myself....but what do those car lube shops mean when they say "oil and lube". What are they lubricating?

some older cars require the chassis need lubing.

Ball joints, tie rod ends, u-joints if rwd, and other suspension parts.
