one name - one account - one author

anandtech principle moderator confirmed this approx (4) months ago and frankly I have not had time to post to other unrelated forums (not anand, clear) or to even think about multiname nonsense, clear

I bet you're really about 18, have no wife, and certainly cannot afford an RS5 Quattro.

you really do not want to do this - I am a good deal older then you imagine - I learned to network in my twenties to my great advantage & benefit during these intervening decades and my wife really cuts for a living

an rs5 is chump change and I was reminding myself not to forget

I am shocked by the decline of the American pursuit of excellance and this is shared by everyone I encounter

what has happened to all of you?

I am not American and you are also assuming that I am a generation younger than you.

I also doubt that anybody who comes out with as much babble as you, and even annotates their edit messages with "speaking of issues the meat of spirited debate" and "irritation & dissapointment w/current generation" has gotten to the point of their life where an RS4 is "chump change". If you had, you certainly wouldn't be here continuing this discussion.

amazing anger

there are times when I need to distract myself because I have long existed in societies where personal opinion is not expressed

think objectively, I am mid fifties or likely older

and I care greatly that the world is tearing itself apart

what I have written has been expressed to me in every country I have visited

yes, perhaps off topic

I inherited and built on it without greed and only married once - I consider myself v. lucky indeed

The sandforce drives are good and offer excellent value. I paid around $70 for my 60gb SSD about a year ago and it's been fantastic. They're great drives for enthusiasts; you need to be comfortable in updating the firmware.

For "normal" people, the intel drives are probably worth the price premium that you pay.

LSI will impose validation on Sandforce and everyone will benefit with easier installs

I believe there is a genuine reason samsung has introduced three-core arms - the SF 2xxx may need the third core under peak conditions

probably just a helpful dude with a need to help others...

YAY!!!.. you finally got it right!

as for all the rambling about the middle east and trying to ruffle feathers?.. if you're implying that you're so mature.. then please act like it. Throwing mud around just puts yourself down while trying to do the same to others.

Plus, it hardly seems like the appropriate thread to start such debates anyhow.

LSI will impose validation on Sandforce and everyone will benefit with easier installs

sure about that? I think the currently shipping vendors have done the bulk of that work already(through troubleshooting/RMA processes) and Intel has already paved the way to much greater success with all of the recent fixes from their end as well. Doesn't hurt that they seemingly have Sandforce in their front pocket, either.

Kind of weird how everything just jumped ahead so suddenly when their drives are about to ship, eh? Gonna have to say I told ya so here.
