Holden Monaro's duking it out down under. http://www.wootworx.com/movies/monaro.wmv

Can't wait for the GTO's to start kicking around. For those that don't know, the new GTO is based directly off the Monaro. SOme gto's were spotted in Warren MI today, the first ship arrived last week, the second coming in tomorrow.

If your going to hate on the Goats go elsewhere. I am in 11 grade, back in 8TH I wrote a paper about the new GTO and why it wasn't going to be good, and whatnot. I thought it was going to suck, and not only that not deserve the Grand Tourismo Omologato name. Over the past year as it has been developing ive begun to like it more and more everyday.

my uncle had an ssr for a week.

lucky bastard who works for gm and gets a free car every 3 months for 3 months.

hes had a yukon xl, avalanche, vette, aztek, cts, its all random

i have been seeing them for months now. They have been on the roads in Detroit for quite awhile. I think the first non-M plate i saw was back in September or so.

Yeah, I've seen a few non-M plates on the road...I remember the first time I saw one on the highway...I just drove next to him for a while ogling and trying not to crash. It's not a super-rare car, but it's new, and I know what the original can do, so meh 🙂

And im working it with my dad, we have GM employe discount, so im trying to make him understand they we need one. Its actually coming along good.

My uncle is the first person in line to get a new GTO. He will be the first person not on GMs payroll to get one. He drove one on the GM test track for an entire weekend....

I wish we could get midsize 4 door cars with V8's here in the US. 🙁

How about a late model Ford Taurus SHO? 😉
I guess those are midsize, they still have that boat feeling to me in a way, though not as much as an Impala SS.

oh man, I love the Monaro.... such a wicked car.... always been a Holden fan since I heard of them a few years back.

sweet 😀

Man what's all the hype about. It looks like two door Grand Prix or Bonneville - nothing special. To be sure, it won't be turning 12 sec quarters like the Holden in the vid.

And it's sure to inherit GM's steller reliability

so I'll wait after the first model year anyway...

Learn to read moron. Of course they dont run 12's stock, they run 13.68's stock. Reeady any review of the production car and then get back to me ok? Now go stfu.

And, I've forgotted more about cars than you'll ever know.

WHAT are you trying to say?

the gto turns heads, is blazingly fast, and STRAIGHT from australia.

If you want plain, buy a Honda.

And there isn't much unreliable about a GM small block.

That's my point - it's as plain AS a Honda. In a parking lot you'll have trouble picking it out of a bunch of other midsize GMs - there's nothing distinctive about it. And numerous reviewers agree with me.

Sure the small block is reliable (albiet 50's technology), but parts will be falling off the rest of the car in short order.

what is so 50's about it? Please don't say because it's OHV, cause OHC is very old itself.

WTF does the small block being 50's tech have to do with anything?
