for some reason people are requesting that I add an LPT10: port to the PC configuration at work. Is there a limitation in Windows I'm not aware of, as it doesn't seem possible.

I added the key reg edit, (LPT1-9 are already present and working, but no dice! 🙁

why would you need 10 LPT ports?

and the always standard answer....MOVE TO LINUX (j/k on that last line, although it would most likely work fine)

I have no idea. Maybe they want to map 10 printers?...though that would be insane.

Even if they want 10 printers they don't need 10 lpt ports, lptX: ports are only for legacy DOS support.
