I've got this file on my XP Pro system. Anyone know what it is?

I haven't set up any VPN.

Being 15MB, I wanted to see if it was something I could delete and how it got there. Not sure why it has such a recent date either and not a date of standard XP files.

A little google searching makes me think it is part of the Qoologic trojan virus.

I tried googling before posting but only got 2 results. Just someone's scan log, which I didnt understand.

The extracted file is named lpt$vpn.XXX where XXX is the 3-digit version of the virus pattern file.

SysClean or TrendMicro AntiVirus related (virus pattern file).

That's InterScan VirusWall for UNIX, which I've never used, but I have used the online scanner at housecall.trendmicro.com before (WinXP). I guess they use the same virus defs?
Though I don't remember it downloading a 15MB virus def. Fast server I guess. At least they could have put it in a named folder.

It is a virus pattern file. I use the scanners almost daily here at work.
