I like their style and energy. Its also nice they can use hip hop and hard rock to effect without using every cuss word in the book. Saves me the trouble of having to find the "explicit versions" of the songs and well its good for the younger gens that are growing with the music.

This is the off topic forum... so I figured I would just say something that was on my mind. Oh Im new incase you didnt see the post count.

Yeah. Reanimation was actually quite good, but still just remixes. Their new stuff better be nothing short of awesome to make up for that little money grabbin' time stallin' cardboard wrapped "release."

Didnt get REanimation. Seemed too much on the Hip Hop side with the remixes. I like the balance of Hybrid Theory. I do look forward to this new one though, the latest single is pretty good... its like Runaway or In The End. They sing about stuff that could have been my daily journal back when I was in highschool. Lol.

Anyone lucky enough to get to go to Summer Santitarium where LP plays with Metallica, etc? That would rule. I live in Indiana though and we hardly get anyone worth hearing to stop through. Gotta go to Chicago, Cincinatti, or some other out of state place. I might go to the show in Cin city.... pretty hardcore collection of bands. I just wish Rage was still around. I still say my most desired but wont ever happen tour would be Metallica, LP, Rage, and The Offspring with Quarashi openning up.

(off this topic) The forum mod sent me an email cause he locked a thread I had in the sell/trade forum cause I didnt provide provide profile info... I was asking to buy something, not sell, why does it matter? How do I rip someone if Im buying? I mean, theoretically if some idiot let you talk them into sending the product before they got your cash I guess that would work, but they would have to be an idiot. Anyway, I will provide profile info Mod... good to see they actually do their job here. Most forum mods do squat.

this is the one time in my life i'm going to go on blind faith and just buy the album on the 25th. For Hybrid Theory, I previewed it before buying, but they say its more akin to Hybrid Theory than Reanimation, ie, rock rather than hip-hop. I love them, and so I'll buy their album this time around. If they disappoint...no more money for them! ;)

This new album is way better than re-animation... re-animation was a stupid idea IMHO, the first and now last albums are best!! :D

Eh, it seemed Hybrid Theory was better than Meteora. I d/led the mp3s to take a listen, but no go on the songs growing on me... I dunno, it seems like they sort of did a half-a$s job with this one?

Re-Animation seemed like a good way to branch off a little into the hip hop area and maybe gather themselves some more people to buy their albums...

Hybrid Theory was the best selling album of 2001 (oddly, cuz I love it), maybe a tough gig to follow?
I like 'Somewhere I belong' pretty well, and I'm actually listening to the album for the first time right now.

If you knew how to use IRC you could have had it last week, heh. (not that I would know anything about that)

I think the CD is decent, but all the songs sound similar to one another, which sound similar to Hybrid Theory songs. It's really short too, which also sucks.

if I can get the money, I may be going to the Summer Sanitarium show in Foxboro, MA. I'll be skipping Metallica and Limp Bizkit, for I don't care for them. And as soon as I can finally get some cash in my pocket, I'll be picking up the Meteora CD :D

I'm going to be picking up the CD+DVD also. Like others, I've had the album on mp3, but I think that this album is good enough to buy.

It's a good cd, but man i feel screwed, 36 minutes? I read in an interview they have like 100 songs and are in the process of recording them.

Oh and i'm going to the projekt revolution concert with linkin park, blindside, mudvayne and exzibit in another month. That oughta be pretty kickass.
