Real good info, appreciate! Yeah, being able to sleep in it is pretty helpful.

I'd have to second that, If I could find a clean used Bronco I'd buy another one in a heart beat, but unfortunately they are rusted to heck up here in Minnesota. Had a 83' with a 300-6 that went 375,000 miles when it rotted out, and a 89' with a 300-6 that was over 300,000 when I sold it a few years back. Both had sticks and got around 18 mpg @ 60mph, and both still averaged ~15mpg with 4" of lift and 35" tires.

and costs more than an already modified jeep.

Depends. As with anything there is a large price range. A new turbo costs $25k while a used 800 are down around $4-5k. A trailer can be a used small steel 10ft trailer for $600 or a fully enclosed aluminum set up for well over $10k.

I just got back from Turkey Bay in Kentucky and it was a blast. I saw some Jeeps going down the trails we were and it was downright scary to watch! Although, I think the OP is looking more for personal transport out into nature for photography instead of off roading for fun.

OP, don't be afraid to look at used vehicles. You quoted a Pioneer's fully MSRP, but seem to be looking into used Jeeps. Used side by sides can be very affordable, but you may need to transport them to your destination depending on your local laws.

Seems like you are still wishy-washy on what you want. It is a bit hard to make suggestions.
