If they stay true to the comics, Osborne's kid will be the Green Goblin. The Hobgoblin was a thief/merc who Norman Osborne gave some tech that led him to become the Hobgoblin.

In all liklihood, I think he's going to play the Lizard. 🙁 It'd be better if it *was Venom* but the story is a bit involved and far fetched (an alien symbiotic suit that appeared out of nowhere?) in that one . . ..

They already have the guy from from S2 cast as the professor who becomes the Lizard. S3 will be interesting because S2 setup the possibility of the Lizard, Harry Osborne as the Green Goblin, and Venom (via J Johah Jameson's son).

Rhino first fought Spider-Man, who thwarted his attempted abduction of John Jameson; escaped captivity, defeated by Spider-Man who used acid to destroy his costume

Venom is just too far of a stetch at this point for the spidey franchise...i mean since the last movie spidey has gone to another plantet, met up with THOR, merged with the symbiote, fought crime as cosmic spider man, seperates it from himself with the sonic blaster, and then merges with brock...i mean thats an entire 3 hour movie in an of itself...

The story of the symbiote coming back on the shuttle was just the cartoon's cheap way of getting it in there...
 
wasn't eddie brock in the first movie as a cameo? isn't he the guy that just got fired as peter parker was walking into the newspaper office to sell his pictures? or am i smoking something?

Nah, he doesn't have the wide frame the character requires. Of course, they could just do it all with computers.

I'm apparently dense or something... I just watched S2 this weekend, and have no memory of this setup. Where did they set up the possibility of The Lizard?

They suggested that he would be going into space soon. Never actually shown.
 
I'd like to see the venom story line...but it'd have to be the saturday morning cartoon version. No way they could fit all that jazz about thor in there. Hell, the saturday morning cartoon version would be a tough fit.

But I don't think we will. Lowell has to small a frame. Venom was a huge buff guy. Same goes for the rhino.
