Hello,
I'm not sure where to post this message but here goes.
I'm qurious if any one has had problems with the sound volume control in XP compared to 98SE? My volume is literly 1/3 of win98. I have a dual boot system and when I goto 98 I have to turn the volume way down. Go back to XP and you can't hear anything till it's turned up. It makes listening to music in crap.

I have ;
Athlon 650
monster 300mx
Cambridge 2500
....any other info needed?

Is there some drivers that I need or is there anything at all I can do (besides listen to music in 98)?

Have you checked out 'Sound and Audio Devices' in the control panel?

Only saying this since you didn't say how the sound was turned down, speakers or in Windows itself.

You could also try getting the drivers for XP for the soundcard, instead of using what microsoft installs.

>> Motoamd,
all sound volumes on XP are turned to max. Nothing gets changed going from 98 to XP....
....however....
>>Rav3n,
you had a good idea in switching the drivers from xp to Aureal. I will check it out.

Thanks guy's.
