low scores in 3dmark 2001 with geforce 4 ti 4400

well not really that low i got a 6300 but i overclocked it 2 the speeds of the 4600 and that's all i get could there be something in the bios maybe that i have 2 adjust i have a amd thunderbird 1.4 asus a7a266 motherboard 512 megs or ddr ram could it just be my processor is 2 slow i can overclock

You didn't have to post this twice.... but anyway. Did you benchmark with all the settings like vsync and AA off? What drivers and what OS are you using? More detail is needed even though a low 3dmark score isn't that big of a deal...

The ThunderBird isn't that great of processor anymore. Try an Athlon XP and you will see the difference. (More Ram won't help you anymore)

sorry 2 post twice but the subject on the other 1 wasn't really catchin any attention anyway im using windows xp with the latest drivers 28.32 and aa is disabled so is vsync and anisotropic filtering is off

edit: i dont think that a tbird would produce such low #'s considering the video card he's running.. on my Athlon XP 1700 (1.463ghz) system (see rig below), not overclocked, got ~7500 on 3dmark2001se. (1024x768x32bit color default settings) im sure my 1700+ is abit faster than crzyricn's 1.4 Tbird, but not much.. and his gf4 4400 overclocked to a 4600 blows away my gf3 ti200 ..

Hmm.. that's strange. On 3DMark 2001 I get a much higher score with my Geforce 4 Ti4400. Check out my configuration under my Rigs page. Its the rig called "King of the Hill".

I also have another question for crzyricn.
What OS are you using because there was a thing with Windows 98 that it wouldn't allow the computer to use very large amounts of ram.
