Low restriction fan filter?

I'm looking at the filterright aluminum filter. Has anyone used this before? I'd like to add a few filters to my case but would like to retain as much flow as possible. Any cheap and easy to shape material anyone has used to make their own?

Use some old pantyhose, it makes a great filter. However you will have to clean it frequently.
