Low read and write times on WD Raptor

I am getting low read and write timing. I am getting an avg of 10-13mb/sec. That seems awful low for this hard drive. I have tried three differnet benchmarking apps and they all are about the same with about the same numbers. Settings in bios are pretty much stock settings.

i thought raptors were all sata. anyway, go to WD site and get the diagnostic tool. don't know if it will help but something is seriously messed up there.

I didn't have to install any sata drivers....Is this a new install?? Did you load the chipset drivers with the CD that came with the board???

Well I found the problem. Something I overlooked. Went to device manageer and clicked on properties under nvidia sata controllers and found out it was set to PIO instead of serial ata. I feel stupid. I thought I checked that but I guess I didn't. Everything is good to go. Ran HDTune and I was getting an average of 60 mb/sec. Thanks for all the ideas.
