Umm... no. The tire itself only shows the MAXIMUM tire pressure that the tire can handle, but the door sticker says what the manufacturer recommends. You'll usually overinflate your tires if you go off the tire itself, and end up with less traction.

follow manufacturer specs, hell most folks tire are underinflated.

IIRC there was a big lawsuit over recommending underinflating tires.

face it folks, they are the most important part of your car....above all else.
