I find this motherboard deal onhere. It specify its a 478 or 423 motherboard, I got a little bit confuse, I think it is a good solution for the mess up of Intel's CPU. As everybody know, Intel announced too many new different CPUs, P4 have 2 different sockets; PIII celeron has 2 different sockets, now celeron have a new 478 design.Oh.....it's a kind of disaster for buyers and sellers.
Anyway, need advices for this M/B. Is it a good choice for such a low price? Is Intel going to announce another new CPU different from 478 socket?

Still wondering how they're supporting both socket formats when the pin count and sizes are different. Maybe an adapter?

Yes, their website describe the M/B is with a 478 adapter, so you can put a Socket 423 or socket 478 P4 CPU.Any suggestion?

you can get an adapter from power leap now. also why get a 423 board? you can get a 423 board on ebay for like $10. much better boards can be had on newegg refurb usually, there is even a shuttle microatx, with lan, video , sound, pm266 chipset etc, in the new section for about the same price at newegg.
