Low power laptop or SFF system for web browsing but also web HD video

Could you guys recommend a very low power consuming computer that could handle Youtube and Hulu HD video?

Currently I have a dual computer setup at my desk with a Core 2 Quad system I built myself and a Asus N10 netbook that has somewhat similiar to this Acer Aspire Revo.

I'm trying to use the ASUS for daily web use and tasks and the Core 2 Quad system for gaming/video editing only--in order to save on power usage. However I'm finding the N10 to be just a bit too slow. So I'm looking for something in between the two systems that has a low power consumption rating when running idle or doing minimal tasks such as web browsing, but also something that will handle Youtube and Hulu HD video. I was thinking of possibly getting a Mac Mini, but I wasn't sure if there were better options out there.

i think asus is going to start rolling out Eee boxes with HD stuff at some point in the near future, since I got mine i havent really kept up.

anand just did a review of a Zotac Atom/Ion system and said blu-ray was watchable without a problem. he even used it as a testbed htpc and was pretty happy with it. in fact, he ended up comparing the dual core atom to an ol P4 system and it performed better in several tests. you could build something with this, passively cooled with an external power supply...you could put it in anything with some venting.

wait until june or july. i think thats when companies will start shipping netbooks with nvidia ion internals

The Asus N10 that I'm using already has a Nvidia 9300M chip which handles h.264, divx, and high res wmv's pretty well via dxva enabled filters. The problem I having is with web, flash based video which relies slowly on the Atom processor within the N10. Even standard-res youtube & hulu clips seem to choke the system when in full screen.

Likewise I tend to have a ton of tabs open within Opera and/or Firefox and the Atom processor struggles from time to time. So I'm looking for something more powerful than an Atom-based system, but also something that won't waste +100W of power while I browse through my email.

eh, kinda sucks the gpu cant offload some of the work.

i dug up an old post i made, maybe this would be of interest

(4.14 lbs with Battery Pack). things i like about it:

a. you can customize it (different colors, options etc)
b. its got a better processor. its low end, but still would provide a greater boost than the atom processor. should also do decently on battery too.
c. its pretty cheap. initial config starts at $549, but i was able to get it down to $432! (no bluetooth and no OS heh)

or theres a 499 special Text

Wait until the intel ULV chips come out. Those are what you're looking for. The atom just sucks at playing HD youtube.
