Low performance with 9000Pro 128MB on AMD 1800 system

I have a question about my video performance. I play UT2003 and Jedi Knight: Outcast. JK runs fine but in UT I have to drop some of my detail levels down and run at 16bit. I am running at about 2 steps down for the max res. (Can?t remember)

I ran 3DMark 2001 SE and only got 6803 with ATI?s 7.76 drivers and DirectX 8.1 (Not 8.1b). Is this what I should expect? The pc runs fine but it seems I should be getting a lot more out of my system. I also see black triangles (Is that tearing?) in during 3DMark. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you haven't tweaked your XP333 yet, you can get some serious performance boosts by reading this Thread. Memory bandwidth tweaks and a high FSB really make a huge difference with this board.
Good luck!

From what i gather, the R9000 isn't faster than the Ti200.

Only the R9000pro is slightly better.

Thanks.

I am running Catalyst 2.3c. The 7.76 is the build version. I will try some of the XP333 tweaks and see if that helps. I'm not overclocking anything in my system. Any ideas on the artifacts?
