Low density SD ram?

I'm currenty building an overclocking system based on a KT7A-RAID mobo, and I want to put 512MB of Sd Ram in this board. While shopping around for RAM, I noticed there is low density, and high density SD ram modules. But does anyone know what the difference is? I think the low density is the older stuff, but I'm not for sure. Any help or suggestions would be cool

High Density is cheaper, has more chips making the stick of memory larger, and it won't work in all motherboards. I would avoid high density memory if I were you. Just go to Crucial or someplace like that and get some quality memory, it might save you some headaches down the road.

there is no such thing as high density or low density sdram.

stupid pricewatch vendors call the non-standard type sdram as high density. those are 32x4 chips, which is same density as 16x8 chips. (both are 128Mbit chips)
Your VIA chipset motherboard is ok with memory using 32x4 chips.

in another field, high density means the higher density chips. For example, a 128MByte sdram dimm can be made by 16 * 64Mbit chips or 8 * 128Mbit chips. You can call the second one as high density sdram comparing to the first one.
