My system specs are in my SIG. I downclocked all the way to 200X4 = 800 Mhz, then I played FEAR SP demo and COD2 demo. Both run at 1024X768 just fine and dandy at that clock speed, its not much different when I take it back up to 260X10.

Is 800 MHz really sufficient for games like that?
I know that games now adays are more limited by the GPU but DAMN!

There will have been a reduction in performance.

This would have been far more noticeable if the graphics card was a more modern high end card. It just goes to show you need a balanced system rather than one which excels in just one area.

Run FRAPS and see if there was a difference. I'm fairly sure there will have been one.

It also shows we don't all need the latest and greatest hardware to enjoy gaming.

What did you use to change the multiplier to 4? The A64 is multiplier locked.

The multipliers are locked upwards, but unlocked downwards.

Try playing Unreal Tournament 2004 with the cpu set to 800Mhz, you'll notice the difference for sure.
