low budget powersupply

omg that was in a case i was going to buy but people here told me the psu was crap because power q was unknown brand or something. :-(

They both have the exact same output specs. You can tell by looking here:

It probably doesn't matter. If you look at the pictures to both of them, the Fortron one looks like it might be a little more solid (at least it has better ventilation):

Cheap PSU = poor voltage regulation = random lockups and crashes.

Any PSU that costs $28 I wouldn't even use for a door stop.

Do yourself a BIG favor and get a quality PSU like an Antec True Power or Enermax. I personally buy nothing but Antex True Power for my rigs and client replacements.

At a MINIMUM buy this (but I would consider this a poor choice for a gaming system): http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-913&depa=0

You're better off with this True Power 330: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-906&depa=0

either will be fine, they are the same brand, so i'd go with the cheaper one, unless you want a "pretty" powersupply....

I agree and FSP is a quality brand, both are adequate and reliable.
