Low 3DMark05 scores with 6800...

I am having a problem with my computer. I just brought some life back into my older 754 AMD 2800+. I have the computer overclocked to 2.25 Ghz (250 FSB) and have an XFX 6800. The pipes won't unlock but the vertex shader will. Well, I unlocked the shader and ran 3DMark05 last night and am getting 366X with the latest NForce 3 chipset and video card drivers. Shouldn't this computer hit 4500 at stock clocks? I also noticed that as I overclock higher and higher, my score and frames drop.

I'm preety sure a 6800gt scores about 4000 in 3d mark 05, so I'd be happy!

I get 4700ish with my setup

Athlon 64 3000+@2.87ghz skt 754

So 3600 is about where your 6800 NU should be.

I score 6400 with my 7800gs.

i managed 5075 with my unlocked and voltmodded 6800nu, while were on the topic...

not too shabby.

I would be able to get higher except the memory on my Asus V9999GT only runs at 700mhz(350mhz) compared to the standard 6800GT's 1000mhz(500mhz).

It overclocks like ******, but I'm happy with the performance....for now

dang. was that on water? i had an NV5, but i just couldn't get mem past 835 IIRC. i don't even remember what my core clock was.

I also could do around 5000 with my unlocked 6800nu back in the day. I remember telling my friend's kid brother that after the poor kid's FX5200 scored like 600 or so.😛

i was using a lapped NV5 rev1...and still using it til this day, but now it's on my 7800gt
