I have the XFX 8800GS 384mb (G92) video card. I downloaded the latest forceware drivers from the Nvidia site and tried the drivers that came with the card. I also installed the DirectX 9 that came with the drivers. Between drivers, I went to the control panel and uninstalled the Nvidia video driver and also went to the registry and took out all the video entries. I have run the 3d 2006 benchmark about 4 times with the same results. The SM2.0 score is about 1400 and the HDR score is about 1500. I tthink I should get around 9000 or so. Anyone have suggestions?

What are the rest of your system specs?

Download and run GPU-Z. Make sure that under "Bus Interface" you are running @ x16.

Make sure you are not forcing AA/AF in the driver control panel.

GPU clock 580mhz, Memory 700Mhz, Shader 1450Mhz.

It seems like your PCI-E slot is only utilizing x1. My xfx 8800 gs says PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x16

Great job guys. I don't know how you figured it out so quickly. I couldn't figure out which setting in the bios to change (Asus P5B), so I went back to defaults and it changed my pcie speed to PCI-E 2.0 x16@x16. I ran 3Dmark06 and I got 9000 - thats more like it.

But....I went back to the bios to set my cpu overclocking. The only settings that I touch are the fsb from 333 to 400 and the cpu core voltage to 1.25v. When I got back into windows, I was back at PCI-E 2.0 x16@x1. Anyone know how to resolve this?
