Loving my new games

So I recieved the witcher, fallout 3, fear and stalker as christmas gifts. I havent even loaded up stalker yet. Is it pretty similiar to fallout 3? I was going to wait till I beat fallout 3 before I gave it a run through. Fear is a excellent shooter though, although, not as story driven as I expected. The combat is extremely solid.

Fallout 3 is everything I wanted oblivion to be, just in a different setting. Very well made game.

The Witcher though... I love that game. I'm so glad I quit WoW. Right now, I'm stuck at fighting the Hellhound in the first village though. I dont have time to drink any potions and I get wailed on when I try. Any advice on this part? The witch seems to die pretty quickly, is it possible to save her?

STALKER isn't similar to Fallout 3. While both are somewhat RPG/FPS hybrids, STALKER is clearly FPS first and foremost and vice versa for Fallout 3.

Yes, it's perfectly possible to save her. Hellhounds are susceptible to fast style. Also drink some blizzard potion and/or apply some oil to your sword if you are having trouble.

thats pretty funny about stalker then. So I have 4 new games... FPS, FPS/RPG, RPG/FPS, and RPG.

I'll try just drinking a blizzard potion and go in with fast style. I was thinking maybe the group attack since there are 4 of those dogs + the hellhound.

She doesnt die, she's just "knocked out".
I had trouble there too.
Run around in circles just inside the fire line so you dont get burnt, then stop and attack every now and then when fully charged. REPEAT
I know it seems impossible now, but its one of those deals that once you finally do beat it , you'll say "that wasnt so bad".

haha! you were right, not bad at all. Killed it on my first try after your advice. Got past the sewers as well, now in the streets late at night. I can't wait for daylight so I can use the 3 pieces of ore to strengthen up my sword.
