Definitely check it out. It took the place of 24 as my favorite show, even though I'm not a huge fan of the direction they've taken it recently. That and the one episode per month thing they've been doing is really annoying.
 
Actually, part of the Netflix hiring process involves these kinds of questions to see how well versed you are in different genres and how well you relate to people and all that jazz. Give Netflix a call, tell the customer service rep what you like and dislike, they're usually right on the money in their suggestions.

^ I understand people have their own opinions, but wow. How could anyone possibly hate The Wire?! Quite possibly the best show ever produced for television. Probably too in-depth/complex for the OP. 😉
 
Jericho. Loved first season (although it had its cheesy moments). Watching the second season now, and I can see why the show was canceled.

its enjoyable, but dont pay too much attention when they start describing the technology behind their breakthroughs. it just gets retarded :/

edit: and the show gets WAY too melodramatic when certain characters are involved.

never watched the show. but reading through the summary on wikipedia, tbh, hawkins reminds me of garrick.
