I did not laugh; I do not laugh at this man.

He's the 'smart comic' for dumb people; just like big bang theory is the 'smart' show for dumb people.

Watch Eddie Izzard instead; Watch Community instead.

I watched it live. I was wondering where it was going when he started on the bit and it seemed like it veered a little off course. The audience seemed to be conflicted between laughing and being offended.

Louis CK is a strong standup guy. I have one of his CD albums (Hilarious), watched one of his routines (Shameless) when I had Amazon Prime for a few days. He says things that most people barely dare imagine much less voice, something standups do a lot of. As that goes, he's hard to beat. I haven't watched this yet, but will.

Edit: Nowhere near as good as the other stuff I heard/saw. OK, the stuff about racism at the beginning was better than the bit about child molestors, which he just repeated again and again, hammering it into the ground. OK, his point was that repeat CM's who are prosecuted must be really into it if punishment doesn't stop them. Hilarious and Shameless are way better.

It was hilarious, for network TV. That took balls. If you can make half the people laugh and the other half uncomfortable, you still moved the whole crowd.

To me it was as if he had caught the audience laughing at it, and kept driving it in. Seemed intentional.

I maybe a little racist too.. I've got 10 years on Louis CK though.
I was teaching my granddaughter some sayings when I came to this conclusion.
"After while, crocodile."
"See you later, alligator."
"Okie dokie, artichokie."
"No way, Jose." <----- 😱

He left out the part about if we didn't punish child molesters so harshly they'd be less motivated to murder the victims to keep them from telling.

First of all, Community sucks now. And TBBT was a half decent nerd show before it got popular, they put women in it, and it became more about laughing at the freak shows than nerd empowerment.

Second of all, Louis does ONE type of comedy very well: blue collar comedy. It is as "smart" comedy like what you get from a Chris Hardwick? No, no way. But it is a LOT LOT LOT better than what blue collar comedy WAS, aka Jeff Foxworthy and the fart crew. All those jokes got dated quickly, and pushed past their shelf life because no one else did blue collar comedy. Seinfeld's jokes about airplane food doesn't hit home to the percentage of Americans that drive to every vacation.

Plus Louis's show is maybe the most non-traditional comedy on TV. That kind of risk should be applauded. It is way better than The Riches was. He is not my favorite comedian ever, and honestly some of his stuff annoys me, but I can appreciate that some people appreciate him.

Why is everyone so big on telling everyone else what kind of entertainment we should like? The enemy is NOT someone like Louis or even Sheldon, who at least did SOMETHING to get famous (even if you don't admire it). The enemy to our culture are the people like Kim Kardashian who have done NOTHING to deserve their fame. They deserve the scorn.

The rest is just a matter of taste.

I was doing that with my three year old niece too and how can I forget jose! Any more tips grandad? 🙂 I was playing legos with her and she busted out "rocket boosters engage!" I was like wtf

I agree it doesn't say anything bad. But I will guarantee you that there are pc dicks that think it's racist.

My granddaughter loves knock knock jokes. She also tells everyone that "salutations is I nice way of saying hello." She must have gotten that from a video.
