space. woofers need a good enclosure to perform well. That and low bass drivers can be anywhere and still sound the same. The most appropriate place then is the trunk.

How do you anti-loud-car-stereo people feel about loud exhaust? If one is "wrong," then certainly so is the other. I find it braindead that loud pipe tickets (here at least) are much less than loud stereo tickets.

What is your point? If I have my stereo up loud there is only two things that can make me turn it down:

1. Time of night, after 8 it goes down
2. Cops pull me over and tell me to turn it down. (then crank it once I get a block or three away)

Any threats by people telling me to turn it down will result in a bird being flipped and or my big fat ass being pressed against my car window, followed by a bird being flipped. Then the windex, followed by me getting the fvck out of there.

I would ask that you please turn it down in residential areas at all times of the day. Not only is it annoying to people in their homes, but it wakes up sleeping babies and freaks out pets.

Please be considerate. Especially to those with sleeping babies. It rare that new parents get any peace at all. Don't make it worse for them by upsetting their infants.

what the hell are you talking about. how am I an asshole? because i am considerate? wow your a fvcking inconsiderate asshole. This is the one hobby that i know a LOT about and love a lot. Not only Car audio, but Home audio. It is a lot of work to get the system sounding right, good imaging, etc.

EvilYoda, basically IB in a car requires a trunk and the subs mounted in either the rear dash, or somewhere so that the sub is facing the cabin, and the magnet/motor/spider/ etc is behind/in the trunk. its IB in the fact that its an extemely large box, and not completely sealed, so you are getting a lot of air space including what you have in your cabin.

Virtueixi: If i put them in the cabin, i wouldnt be able to have a spot to sit. Subs are LARGE,

if you want an example of a sub in the cabin.Here ya go.

Spidey07: what subs were you running? there are not many 10's that can handle 1Kw of power per. and 2Kw of true power is not going to happen from a normal car, it is going to require serious upgrades, like a new batter, H.O. alternator and some big ass wire.
