51 Lore Master on Brandywine. Finishing up Angmar and then heading south. So far I like Lotro better than WoW or AoC. I read the books and saw the films so it all makes sence. If you like MMOs then give it a try.

Who's your LM? I'm thinking about shelving my hunter for the time being and working on my LM (L56, I think). Book 7 went overboard in correcting hunter damage.

Book 6 comments:

I always thought Hunters were a little weak anyway.

Never saw a Hunter in Lothlorien that could farm faster than my Champ. They could single target DPS marginally faster than me and 2v1 and above I outkilled them.

Champs had fast bow pulling inbuilt which meant I could tag a mob quicker. Very useful.

Hunters are supposed to be the kings of single target DPS while Champs have superior AoE DPS. The problem I'm having is the damage scales on LIs were toned down (I don't have a problem with that) and hunters special attacks were hit by the nerf bat on top of that (my problem). Hunters were a little overpowered and needed a tweak, Turbine changed too many variables at once IMO resulting in a weak hunter class.

57 Champion on Brandywine here 🙂 Love LOTRO. and I'm always looking for people to quest with. Have some lower level alts too.

My characters on Brandywine. Feel free to look me up when I'm online. Just make sure you let me know you're from AT otherwise there's a good chance I'll ignore you. 🙂

Well, sadly it does not seem like any of the AT crew plays on Silverlode. Atleast it is good to maybe have the start of a thread going here though.

Just a reminder for anyone that has played the game but is not subscribed right now, you can play for free for the weekend and check out the changes made.

I really think LOTRO has a lot to offer that other MMO's don't have. I consider it to be a great MMO for anyone that wants to have some fun team play as well as have a casual experience if they desire.

I concur. There were too many Hunters before, but now the class really doesn't provide as much as it should to a fellowship. When's the last time you heard somebody ask somebody to switch to their hunter?

I play on Brandywine as well, perhaps the disparate number of posters there is because it was a beta server?

Could be. I've been there since beta.
