I haven't played the game since about 6 months ago. I enjoyed it at the time then work got in the way and I stopped. Unfortunately because I stopped my subscription would now cost me $14.95 .

Today I got a email that if I preorder the expansion I can get subscription again for $9.95.
So for $40 you get the complete game + expansion, a couple items in game and pricing at $9.95 per month. Seems like a good deal but would like to hear from any current subscribers on what they think.

I just recently started playing the game with my brother, and this deal on the preorder has been very tempting. Either the 9.95 part, or the lifetime subscription for a lot cheaper than previously.

If you plan on playing the game, its a great deal. Usually once an expansion comes out for an MMO its almost requried, so there is no reason to avoid the expansion if youre going to be playing the game.

I already took advantage of the special pricing and ordered two copies of Mines of Moria for myself and my wife. I already had a lifetime subscription so i went ahead and got my wife the same deal since it is $100 cheaper now.

They are adding a lot of really nice things with the expansion including two classes which both seem a some nice gameplay as well as Legendary Items which have special customization options as well as gaining levels and improving with levels allowing you to customize a truly unique item.

I have really enjoyed the lifetime and have been happy just mainly playing this for the last 8 months and having not bought any other games has already paid of the lifetime subscription of $200.

I would definately say go for one of the special payment options especially if you enjoyed your experience thus far.

Does anyone else find this game a little slow on the response time? For example, when I press "w", my character seems a little slow to react. It seems much slower than WAR or WOW, is anyone else experiencing this?

If it's movement, then it's just lag on your end.

If it's combat, the LOTRO combat is a bit slower than WOW or WAR. WOW and WAR have instantaneous attacks. LOTRO has a timer that balances the skills used to the auto-attack function. Turning off auto-attack speeds it up a tiny bit, but also lowers your overall damage.

To get the $9.95 rate do you have to purchase multiple months? How long does that price last? I couldn't find that out on the website.
