i will admit that i never saw them before watching them this weekend and i was VERY impressed.
I liked them all AND they were so much better than star wars. Great movies. i can see why they have such a following.

I've seen the trilogy numerous times and even the uncut versions. I would not mind seeing it once more in HD and with a nice surround system though.

I saw them again recently on TNT HD and loved it. It will be great if its on HD on demand for free.
