LOTR TBFME graphical issues.

I'm not exactly sure what to do about this, but I recently bought The Lord of the Rings, Battle for MIddle earth, game runs sweet, only when I cast a spell my graphics go VERY glitchy, black screen, random set of dots all over the place. I just bought a brand new Gforce 6800 GT 256MB graphics card got it about a week ago, Have not notice a single issue. Using nvidia drives 66.93. I ran Aquamark, no graphical issues there. Any clues to what might be cuasing this?
 
Hrm, I dont know my brother has had no issues he has a gforce 6800 128 mb card. My cousin plays it, at radeon 9800 I believe. As far as patches not that I've seen. I don't know why this would cuase issues on my computer only. My cousin was sayign something like it could be on my agp bus but wouldn't there be graphic glitches on the aquamark if there was a problem with my mother board? That too is fairly new.
 
The 6800 GT requires more power than the other cards you mention. What PSU do you have, and what is the rest of your system specs?
 
Are you trying to force run AA or AF on the game thru the nvidia properties? If so I heard that this causes the types of problems your having with the game.
 
Hrm I did force AA and AF but I disabled AF and then reinstalled the nvidia drivers. As far as my PSU it should be enough, i'd have to shut my computer off and pull it out of the compartment its in to verify but I believe it's 420 watt.
 
Well I reset my graphic settings to default and it fixed it. Didn't like me setting those settings manually. Didn't think it would hurt anything oh well. Thanks for all your help guys 🙂
