Everyone has AIDS!

And so this is the end of our story
And everyone is dead from AIDS
It took from me my best friend
My only true pal
My only bright star (he died of AIDS)

Well I'm gonna march on Washington
Lead the fight and charge the brigades
There's a hero inside of all of us
I'll make them see everyone has AIDS

My father (AIDS!)
My sister (AIDS!)
My uncle and my cousin and her best friend (AIDS AIDS AIDS!)
The gays and the straights
And the white and the spades

Everyone has AIDS!
My grandma and my dog 'ol blue (AIDS AIDS AIDS)
The pope has got it and so do you (AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS)
C'mon everybody we got quilting to do (AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS)
We gotta break down these baricades, everyone has
AIDS! x 20

Music.

A number of striking parallels from what I can see:

Yoda/Gandalf/Oracle = Dumbledore (old, wise being giving advice to the hero)
Smeagol = Kreacher (dirty, timid, little creature with his own agenda)
Chewbacca = Hagrid (huge beast that is protective of the heroes)
Emperor/Sauron = Voldemort (the Dark Lord)
the Force/abilities in the Matrix = Magic (special powers)
Luke/Neo = Harry Potter (the chosen one)
Prophecies in Star Wars/Matrix/Harry Potter

Dobby is a good character unlike Smeagol (or more particularly Gollum). Kreacher however fits the description much better.

It is the classic story. Its not a rip off LotR or Matrix, its a rip of thousands of years of stories and tales . . . .

no, but there was a Thomas. Thomas the Apostle a.k.a. Thomas the Doubter. Neo a.k.a. Thomas Anderson doubted the Oracle about being the one as Thomas the Apostle doubted Jesus was alive again.

Therefore, Neo = Hermione.

No, you're absolutely wrong.

Hero (myth of the fall) = Luke = Harry = Achilles = Ceasar = Neo = Maximus Arrelus or whatever = Frodo = Bruce Willis = King Arthur = Alexander the Great = vast global literary conspiracy that requires a genius to point out

Wow, they share 1 characteristic so it must be a direct correlation. Jeez... I guess this is why people who suck at math/science go waste their time on liberal arts.

are you talking about the first or second part? i only pointed out a similarity in Neo / Thomas the Doubter, nothing about a direct correlation.

Now Neo = Hermione, on the other hand, i have 5 more fingers.

Um, It's classic story telling.

There's always a protagonist. And he is usually the greatest at what he does.
There's always an antagonist. And he is usually the perfect rival of the protagonist.
There's always a wise figure. He is usually always there to give advice and teachings to the protagonist.
There's always a sidekick. He is always the plucky comic relief.
