<< Whoa, that's pretty long.

But anyway, is all the principle filming done with for now? What I mean is all the acting done for at this point. Is the rest up to computer generation? If it is, I hope the grapical artists know how to make the characters and scences as realistic as possible, I don't want this movie to be another "The One." The graphics in that movie were rediculous.

The principle filming has been done for about a year. The past year has been post production (editing, special effects, etc.) for FOTR. Post production on Two Towers started a while ago.

Have you seen any of the trailers or specials on TV? The effects are amazing and makes anything that ILM put out look like crap in comparison. :) The cave troll for example...he looks organic and doesn't have that plastic-like digital feel to him *cough* star wars *cough*

I am going to see LOTR! :D

I can't wait to see it either, it looks very cool.. I haven't read the books though. :( But I somehow know I'm gonna like the movie, and know I'd love the books..

What's with people complaining about the 3 hour length? That's great! It just shows how good of a movie it's going to be, that they couldn't stuff it all in an hour. I for one definitely will have no problem with holding it for 3+ hours. If you can't hold your piss for over 3 hours, something is really defective with you!

I do not think they should have cut Tom Bombadil. He is the one character that I always had no trouble picturing or remembering. :(

Just think, with the 10 minutes of previews, this puts the movie well over 3 hours. The only problem is that the longer the movie is, the fewer times it can be shown in the theaters.

Yes, but:

- He's not a very important character in the story
- He's an.. er, embarrassing person in a certain kind of way
- IMHO, he's not a very suitable character for a movie. Alright for the book, but not for this movie.
