LOTR - Fell Asleep?

OK, fess up. Who else has fallen asleep during LOTR-TT?

Those darn 1:20 movies have shortened my ability to sit through long movies I guess.
 
Nope. Never felt sleepy through both LotR movies released.



Wanted to sleep watching star wars episode 1 though. That's a first for me -- wanting to fall asleep in a movie theater.
 
I've fell asleep when I watched FOTR and TTT one after another (I've done that lots of times since the EE of TTT came out, watched them back to back that is)
 
I fell asleep during some Arwen scene the 3rd time I saw TTT in the theaters. I think it was a natural defensive reaction to the atrocity of the fake Aragorn death scene, my body just shut down. Other than that though, LotR has surpassed even the original Star Wars trilogy for me. The story is better (obviously), the acting is better, the effects are better, and the painstaking near-insane level of design detail is miles past anything SW has done.

Maybe that has to do with the fact that SW was done so many years ago? (Not even gonna consider the new sh!t. It doesn't count.)
 
I am ashamed to admit it, but I fell asleep the first time I watched TT EE. It was really late and I had been up for 30 something hours straight.

Never fallen asleep watching them...can't, just find them to be too interesting, even after watching both the EEs back to back starting at midnight the night before finals began. However, I found it easy to fall asleep during Fight Club...worst movie ever.

Hell yeah, I slept during both! Will probably sleep during #3 too.

 
They were both kind of sucky. I will still watch the third one though since I already put the time into the first too. People were getting mad at me because I was eating chips during the second one. I couldn't help it that the film was so boring no one was making any noise. I can't wait for the next Harry Potter though.

anyway, nope never fell asleep during either. even when i watched both extended editions in one day includeing all the extra behind the scene stuff. might fall asleep when i watch it thru with the commentary tracks on though.
 
I watched FOTR extended edition, then watched it again w/ director's commentary, then watched it again w/ actor's commentary

in one day
 
Then again, did you just watch it on a POS 1972 RCA TV?

I did, but audio was provided via a 6.1 DD reciever...some movies deserve to be heard well or not at all.


*Still has hope that family will get an HDTV this christmas*
