LOTR blunders?

All that time they had making the movie and look at all the mistakes!

PFFFFFFT

/me waits for kami to crap his pants and defend the movie

😛

You have to remember, some of these people watch the film dozens of times.

Do they fix these scenes by the time it is released on DVD?

I looked at that site and checked out a few other movies I've seen, the people finding these mistakes are pretty sharp...I never noticed any of them.

I didn't notice any of those blunders in the LOTR. That one with the car driving by the scarecrow that would be a major screw up. I will have to watch the movie again.

apoppin, I don't think they do because if you don't remember about the post about Gladiator blunders and it was on the DVD also.

you could see one of the stage crew guys behind a horse, he was wearing jeans and a cell phone ;]

That's a small amount of mistakes compared to those other movies...
it's almost impossible to NOT make mistakes. I have seen The Matrix at least 12 times and I didn't notice any glaring mistakes...but according to that site there's 138.

And people who watch movies for this reason have WAY too much time on their hands 🙂

there's nothing to defend 😛

I'll have to wait till the movie comes out on DVD before I'm able to even see the pointed out mistakes... Things go by too fast in the theater 🙂 Plus you get too into the movie to notice much else 😀

Amen.

its not ONLY 37 mistakes, its 37 mistakes so far ;]
The Matrix has been out long enough to scan for mistakes by the second
hehe

oh and, hey hey! its 170 min long 😛

I liked the movie though, even though i haven't read any of the books, i await the other two movies.

Seeing some of the "blunders" in movies is amusing, but when people start scoffing at a movie b/c of said "mistakes" they just come off as clueless idiots (no, I'm not calling anyone here an idiot, I'm just venting in general). The more setups, the more locations, the more characters, and the more action all raise the bar exponentially for "errors" to happen. And Anyone who says, "ha ha, I wonder how that got past the director?" Has obviously never made a movie because the editor knows every frame of that film like the back of his hand. Nothing "slips past" post production. What probably happened was a conversation like this happend when the editor was screening a scene for the director.

Dir: I like it, but the water in so-and-so's glass goes from half-full to full when we cut back to her. Can we fix that?
Editor: Yeah, I noticed that too, but she really nailed that take. All the others she just seemed to be walking thru it. But that take was perfect.
Dir: Okay, keep it.

The point of a movie is to tell a story, not to achieve perfection in all things related to time and space. Unless you've been a part of making a movie you have no idea what a roving cluster f**k the shooting process actually is 🙂 And don't even get me started on post production...But it's fun, and that's what makes it all worthwhile. 😉

Most of these mistakes they list are incredibly picky...geez, just watch the movie, will ya? Saw it for the third time on Wednesday - much better than the first time, one of my all time favorites.... 🙂

I did notice, going through that list, that many of those are wrong, and not mess ups at all. I thought to myself the same thing for most of them on my 3d and 4th viewings, but a lot of those were just my own self missing something.

Like the one about the boat, you can clearly see Frodo looking over the side of the boat, not an empty boat at all.

lol @ people getting mad.

true, I'm not really scoffing, I just like to see the picky mistakes, I think its fun because they are so hard to find.

Its like a 2 hour long wheres waldo

WHERES WALDO!!!!??

😀😀
