it was a signal that they would be there at that spot, the lady went there and nobody was there.

no, he meant the little puff of black smoke when Kate threw the dynamite in. I don't think they explained that at all... they saw it and never mentioned it.

 
The entire show is a videogame. Just as Walt created the polar bear, he has created the island, the rules, the Others, and pulled all of the passengers into his game. Walt is the key to the show.

Did they show that ? I missed the opening bits of tonight's and last week's episode. And any
speculation about Ian, was he one of the others.

what ever he thinks of it happens.

when he was a kid, he was reading a book about birds, then a dead bird drop in front of his house.

he thinks about the polar bears he read in a magazine, they appear on the island.

he also told locke to not open the hatch....they opened it. it can only mean one thing...more bad things are about to happen. how did he know about the hatch?

in a way, the reason the plane crashed was also cause by the boy. before the flight, he heard his dad talking to his grandmother about not wanting the boy. basically he felt unwanted...which is the same feeling when you crash on an island with no way out.

what's the monster? this time they made it sound more like a machine.

also, as mentioned before, what's that black cloud when the monster showed up?

why do they want the boy? maybe because he can think up a way to rescuse them?

why did the fat guy give the boy a thumbs up before the flight?

more questions than answers!

how far can that motor boat go? they're probably from the previous science expedition like the french woman said. the could've brought the boat with them, but it's a small board. How far could it go?
 
The black cloud is exhaust, if the monster is really a machine. Someone on another forums posted THIS as the monster. 😀

I'm thinking it's the rock drilling machine from Total Recall.
