I ordered some things from Amazon on Novemeber 19 and it shipped in two packages on 19th and 20th from IN and KY, coming to me in NY.

Tracking shows both were delivered on November 24. But that day nor any day after there have been no packages in my mailbox or outside it. Even with Thanksgiving and holiday shipping there's no way it takes this long. It's possible they were stolen but I've had no problems before and see other people's packages sit outside the boxes for a couple days even.

I went to the PO and not much help other than to call some number. I called today a number of times and no answer. I called Amazon and the CSR barely understood anything and said wait till Dec 8th (wtf?).

I'm going to try calling PO again tomorrow but not sure what else to do. At what point do I want to do a chargeback with my CC? Never had to do this before but seems like neither Amazon or USPS wants to help.

edit: Case closed. Packages showed up a week after it said they were delivered. Just a heads up to anyone who finds the same thing.

You'll have an uphill battle, as all the evidence is in favor of Amazon & USPS. It's tracked and listed as delivered to you, so they'll have enough to file papers with your CC company and get the chargeback reversed.

If Amazon says wait till the 8th, wait till the 8th. Call again, and let them know it hasn't shown up and take it from there.

If you dont have the package by december 8th then you can file for a claim against amazon. Amazon is basically saying that the usps has until then to come up with the package for you. Till then they are not going to do anything.

Problem is is that the delivery confirmation says the item is already delivered. At this time your only hope is that the item was insured in which case amazon wold collect on the value from the delivery company, and issue you a refund replacement. Amazon is a decent enough company though, that they may eat the cost and do it anyway.

Amazon rules. If this isn't a high-value item, I'd be surprised if at the end of day they didn't just eat the cost.

I've had carriers claim my packages were delivered several days before they actually were.

Only from Amazon purchases though.

Yeah I heard it can say delivered a day or two before it actually is, so I gave it a few but after 5+ days, I didn't think they were coming.

Anyway I'm updating this thread just to add a data point to anyone in the same situation.

Today, one week after it was delivered to me according to tracking, both packages actually arrived.

Yeah I wasn't patient enough, especially with the holidays, but I thought with the packages arriving to the PO on the 23rd and still nothing, I thought there's no way there are still coming. But they did. Hoorah!
