lost tmobile sim chip :(

has this happened to anyone before? i lost it while travelling/switching chips etc. i know i put it in a safe place but i can't find the damned thing. so i'm hoping I can pay tmobile or go to a store and get a new one with the same number. my handset is unlocked so that shouldn't be an issue. anyone have any experience w/ this?

t-mobile stores sell them for $20 - $25. just go in and tell them you need to replace yours.

My dad went into the sprint store to get one when he lost his phone (found it in the couch a week later) and they said 'Oh no, we won't charge you for that'.

sprint is cdma, doesnt use a sim chip.

My S.O. got one replaced by TMobile for free. They initially wanted to charge him but he pushed back a little and they caved in.
