Lost (the show) question.. with spoilers!

So pontifex's thread brought Lost up and I started thinking... did they ever return to the whole thing with Walt and being able to "make things happen" or whatever it was. The whole thing about the comic book and Polar bear.. I only remember bits, but they never tied that up, did they?

The problem with this show is it is so long and so much time passes between me watching seasons that I can never remember these kinds of details.

Not yet. Walt was on Season 5 though and Ben has made it seem that Walt will need to return to the island.

I was under the impression that Walt was reasonably free to go on as he is. I must be missing something here as I don't understand what the OP is asking.

There were a couple hints that Walt could manifest things by thinking about them, or that he had some kind of supernatural power. It was hinted at during a few flashbacks in certain episodes.

Rumor has it that in season 1 they filmed a few scenes that they would use in season 6. They had to record it back then because they needed Walt to look young and he would look much to old 6 years later when they are filming the last season. From what i read it sounds like only Jack and Walt where in the scene, which would make sense because its been long known that the actor that plays Jack is the only actor that knows how the show is supposedly going to end.

I see, guess I missed those hints.

They brought back walt for season 5 for an episode, he is BIG now.

Yeah, that's why they had to get rid of him since he was going to grow up too fast, but now they can explain that with the 3 year time frame that the island didn't experience. Also I heard that the writers had to make up that stuff about Hurley finding all of the Dharma food because he wasn't losing any weight (actually gaining) like his contract said he was supposed to.

I really liked lost for a few series, then I realised they were just making that shit up as they went along.
Seriously that series is like a little kid caught in a lie and trying to dig himself out with more and more outrageous explanations.

I know at first they implied he conjured the polar bear or whatever, but the Dharma people had brought them to the island.

At least Michael is dead now. He was so annoying.

He is GIANT Walt now.

btw here's an fyi for all you television writers. Young people grow up. So if you aren't prepared for the show to take place in "real" time then you better not cast adolescents or young children. Not everyone has growth disabilities like Webster or Gary Coleman.

2nd btw I hear Walt will be returning to the island this season. To set up a meth lab.

The "He's our you" episode had a meth camp in which Sayid was given meth by sawyer and his new thugs. Then Sayid goes on to talk about how everyone is going to die while he is high.

He made a bird fly into a window to get his parents attention in Sydney. When his step dad gave him to Michael he said Walt was always doing weird crap like that.

There's a idea going around about Walt, that he's been moving around in time, much like the Losties were in season 5...
