Lost space in WinME -- SOLVED

Hi all,

I have a 5gigs partition holding my WinME. The total space my files are holding is around 900mb. To determine this I go at the root of the disk, select all the files then right-click and select properties. HOWEVER, when I go in the properties of the disk itself, it says I only have 2 gigs left. What is wrong here??

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try doing a defrag or scandisk yet on the hdd? Also make sure you have the hdd partition set right.

System Restore.

Go to X:\_Restore (where 'X' is the drive in question) and you might find the rest of your space. You can disable system restore (not a complete disable, tho, so I've read) in the System Properties pages.
