if they are all dead already, how come some stayed dead ? Why these people only ?

1) They're not dead
2) Everything can be explained rationally

Maybe the ones that have stayed dead have done so because there isn't anything keeping them behind in purgatory. All these characters are struggling with deep internal conflicts that the other characters don't know all the details about... ie. Jack's relationship with his father, or Kate's criminal history.

But, I personally don't think they're dead already. That just seems like an easy way out of the whole "freaky stuff is happening on the island" thing.

If thats the case then I guess I will be FORCED to watch until the story is revealed. But the guy being able to walk after being in a wheelchair, that's not rational to me, HAS to be some sort of magic..OR they are just all dead and trying to solve thier inner conflict so they can move on to where they need to go. I agree with the poster that said that will be a big time cop-out if they are all dead...I am hoping for something cooler.

I thought that at first, but they never said why he was in the wheelchair, and it was only for the past four years I think he said. It could just be one of mental things, who knows. Either way, he's my favorite character, he's a badass and he seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders(talk he had with Jack in this latest ep). The only thing was his calls to Helen, that's kind of weird, but maybe he's just really lonely, haha.

Isn't it convenient how the monster dissappeared this past episode? Of course, one of the main characters can't get eaten. None of them even seemed to be concerned about it.

It might be a cop-out, yes if they are dead, but I just can't think of another reason why all of this is happening

well, as long as the ending isn't one of the following, I'll be happy.

1. Everyone is actually dead (island purgatory or something)
2. Jack or someone is just dreaming (that would be uber lame)
3. Everyone is on the other side of a theme park which is built on one of Hawaii's islands and they are just too scared to go to the other side b/c of the "monster".
