Just an observation: by design, "24" resolves its main conflict in a single 24-episode season. "Lost" seems to be more like a soap opera in that it seems to meander along and doesn't get around to resolving much of anything.

Of course it has more views. Everyone not glued on the tv set and looking at the thread.
Whereas 24 is so captivating that everyone came here to just post (you don't even need to look at monitor to type) plus they are scared of spoilers.

In conclusion 24 > ATOT > LOST

Lost had promise, but then they started adding filler episodes and 2 month gaps in the season. If Lost had a non stop season ( or atleast not 2 months gaps between new episodes) and no more sh1tty filler that doesn't advance the plot, than maybe it would be better than 24, but it doesn't. And Jack Bauer >>>>>>>>>> any character on Lost

Jack Bauer could kill everyone on Lost. Including "The Others."

And still have enough time to bang Audrey before the season started. :D

I gotta agree with this comment on Lost. Clearly explains why 24 is the better show.
THE REAL SCANDAL IN AMERICA TODAY... [John Podhoretz]
...is the season finale of the ABC series "Lost." The show is about survivors of a plane crash on a strange island. The tropical island features an invisible monster, a polar bear, a space hatch buried in the ground, a pirate ship in the middle of a jungle, a wheelchair-bound man who could suddenly walk, and a few other amazing supernatural things. For 22 hours over the course of the season, viewers have been waiting for answers for at least some of these mysteries. The two-hour final episode answered absolutely nothing. Not one thing. Basically, it appears that the series' creators simply threw all sorts of things out there to tantalize people and then had absolutely no idea where to go with it or what to do. This is a very, very bad idea. The audience for "Lost" will abandon the show over the summer and it will creak out a few more months until it is deservedly cancelled. Audiences will go for a sucker punch once, but no longer. Bye bye "Lost." It's been lousy to know ya.

24.

Lost is more like a "family drama", it could have been made much better, but every time something is about to happen, a few blank episodes make me lose interest. What about the monsters inhabiting the island? Who are the mysterious aliens? What's going on? No questions were answered in the first season. What happens in an episode? A character either finds himself in trouble (and gets out of it or dies) or faces his dark, boring past in a meaningless filler episode.

24 has plot twists, unexpected dramatic events and the story unfolds at a good pace. I find it much more enjoyable.

I liked Lost but then they started showing repeats and after that the story got HORRIBLE. I heard the season finale was pathetic. The whole show keeps going in circles - nothing happens.

I've watched every season and episode of 24, and have heard that Lost is good but have never watched it.

As for me, I wouldn't give up my 24 at all.

Can't wait till next season! My guess is Jack goes on a vendetta after that woman who they had to give up this season that attacked President Palmer.

Let's watch some killin!

24 just sucks
Lost is actually quite interesting, one of the first TV shows in years to actually pull me in to the point where I WANT to watch it every week.

the lost finale could have been better. But they have to keep it going because there is a second season

the number of posts vs number of views is an abnormal ratio. some folks had the reloadevery extension installed. in fact, it was mentioned in the lost season finale thread and i bet a bunch of poeple installed it.

anyways...i like both shows. but i hated how there were weeks between some episodes of lost whereas there was a new 24 every week.
there was no weekly Lost thread but i could always count on a weekly 24 thread.
they explained NOTHING in all 23 episodes of lost. absolutely no conclusions. i ended up with more questions than answers.
