Lost office's lotto pool tix. Now gotta rebuy for everyone

Megamillions $168M drawing fri 12/24.

i volunteered to buy the office pool tix during lunch ($155 worth).
closest place that sold megamillions near where i usually eat lunch was a Sunoco gas station.

Then went to lunch. As i'm returning to the office, i notice i dont have the tix and have no idea how i lost it.
went back to the restaurant. didnt see it anywhere. and none of the employees knew anything about it.

oh well, no big deal.
went to the bank, withdrew $, and bought replacement lotto tix at the 7-11 next door.

so if someone hits tommorow, and the winning ticket was sold at a Sunoco, it will be one of those "Was that my tix?" for the rest of my life. and an entry into FML


cue parody thread about how someone found $155 worth of lotto tix...

What ever you do, do not tell the other people in the pool. It would get ugly if the winning ticket could conceivably be the one you lost.
 
Now, if you win, what you have to do is put out a reward of $1000 for those 155 lost lotto tickets. Explain what happened to the office, and keep the winnings for yourself.
 
Conversely, what if one of these new tix is a winner? Now you can thank losing those tixs because without having lost them, you wouldn't have won off these 😛

i actually didnt have much sleep last nite, thinking about if the winning tix were bought from the gas station and noone claims it.

$155 has bought me much entertainment indeed.
 
If the ticket you bought does end up being the one that wins, I think you can claim it anyway. I remember some lady lost her ticket or something, she provided the lotto people with info and they gave her the prize money.
 
now watch. one of the loseing tickets is the winner and nobody claims it..and in a year you find the lost tickets!
