Lost nacho day to bagel day...

So at my company we used to have nacho thursday for our floor. Every thursday a group on our floor would be required to setup up company provided nachos. Chips, cheese, salsa, jalapeños, chili, and whatever extra that group wanted to add.

A bunch of new people came in (people switching buildings and such), and now we have bagel thursday - but - every other thursday....

so they get like 200 einstein brothers bagels and assorted shmears. I'm not one to complain about bagels, but every other? ill take nachos every thursday.

does your company have anything similar to this?

not regularly. the only thing we had regularly was jeans / dress down on Friday but the new Code of Conduct stamped all that out.

i'm sure there is some language in the new Code stating the unprofessionalness of eating nachos... i just haven't found it yet.

we used to get fruits delivered monday and breakfast served on fridays (this could be bagels, pastries, fruit)

We've got a Tech lunch one Thursday a month. Lunch on the company and a presentation of whatever the latest and greatest is at that time.

We get nothing and are told we like it that way. If I was you I'd also be bummed out about losing Nacho Thursday.

i have to agree with this too. with bagels at least you can have them for breakfast or even lunch in a pinch.

nachos? sounds like management was just trying to keep a stable of fatties happy.

once or twice a month on friday we'll shut down at 2:00pm and the company provides either a keg, or bottles and booze/mixers.
do they also provide designated drivers?

I've never been a huge bagel fan..I'd much prefer nachos.

PS - Bagels > nachos

You, sir, are insane.

We have happy hours most Fridays.

Nachos are pretty much nachos. There's a wealth of choices for different flavors when it comes to bagels. You could probably even nacho up a bagel were you so inclined!

So in addition to insanity, apparently you're uncreative. What's to keep you from bagelling up a nacho?

Really it all comes down to the texture you prefer in your carrier starch. Crunchy > soft.

If you mean nachos with cheese dip I'd go for bagels every other month over nachos every day. Cheese dip sucks.

Check with your insurance company; get a referral for a psychiatrist. You can get help for this.

Poor man. 🙁

You want crunchy, you toast the bagel! It can do everything a nacho can and MORE!
I, for one, welcome our new Bagelicious overlords.

Besides, nacho chips at the bottom end up flaccid from cheese exposure.

company buy's lunch for all the offices every thursday.

I'd take bagels over nachos any day... the idea of nachos at 9 am doesn't sound super appealing.
