Lost my Win7 disc and key

I bought it back when it first came out and they had the student deal for $30-40. I had the disc delivered to me. I just bought a new hard drive, and I was about to install it when I remembered I would need the disc and key.

Is there any way for me to go about getting my disc and key? I don't remember the website that I bought it off, but I know I had an account there. Maybe it's still running and I could sign in and download it?

Nevermind, I was able to find the confirmation email for when I paid and I logged in and they gave me my product key, and I can download from the site.

It was digitalriver.com btw

edit: apparently I can't download from it, I could only download within 30 days in Oct 2009. Now I need to find a way to download it somewhere else.

You should be able to find the current links with Google. DigitalRiver's downloads are still up.

digitalriver is a clusterfuck of an operation, imo, particularly when it comes to customer servce

any legit iso will work, ask your fellow nerds if they already have it.

don't have any nerd friends

I'm thinking that I got the disc in a paper envelope, and put it in a random unmarked jewel case to protect it. I've checked all the ones I can find with no luck.

yes, do a search for how to install and change registry setting to do full install with upgrade key. fairly painless and works fine.

I looked it up and learned how to do it, but after I installed, I just went to activate it and my key worked fine.

I got mine from the MSNDAA or whatever the hell it is. Havent logged in for years. Wonder if I could still get it again if I needed to.
Refuse to pay 300 bucks for it, thats for damn sure.

I hadn't signed into digital river since 2009, but it still remembered my account and product key. I couldn't download from them anymore, but I just downloaded an iso from demonoid.

You can find your product key on your computer or inside the Windows package—or in a confirmation e‑mail if you purchased and downloaded Windows 7 online. Go to the Microsoft website to see examples of product key stickers.
If you can't find your product key, you might need to buy a new one. To learn how, see Get a new Windows 7 product key. If you receive an error indicating that your product key is not valid when installing Windows 7, see Windows 7 activation error: invalid product key.

If you googled digitalriver win7 iso you would have got the links to the digital river download. Not warez/unsure of iso's. You don't need a login.
