Lost my modem and network card?

I recently networked my two XP home edition computers. Now one of my computers can`t find the drivers for the 3com 3c905-tx network card, even after I put them on a floppy. Also although my external USR sportster modem installs and checks out ok in diagnostics, dialup networking can`t find it. I have reloaded win XP and It has`nt helped. I`d format but when I tried to export my email I get a message saying an "error occurred while initializing MAPI" Thanks for and ideas
