lost money order

So, I purchased a money order from USPS. I lost the money order with the stub still attached and it was all completely blank. I no longer have receipt either.

Is there any sort of remote chance that USPS can cancel the money order??

How did you pay for the MO? Cash, check or debit card?

Do you remember where, when and how much?

Cash, and I don't have the serial number...

I can maybe go back to the post office where I bought it and talk to the clerk who sold it to me. Can he help me?

I'm sure they have a register/log of all MO transactions but it would help if you knew the exact DATE and AMOUNT of the MO. Make sure to go when they're not super busy (lunch time or near closing). Early morning is probably best.
