Lost my iPod touch. I was dumb enough not to put a lock on it or have the tracking or lost device app for it. What can I do to help ensure they won't be using my Apple account or my contacts? Will unregistering my device do anything?

Change your password ASAP. That includes anything you used on the Touch, like e-mail and web logins.

Unregistering the device could help, too.

Are your contacts synced to iCloud or just resident on the Touch?

They are just on the Touch. Never used iCloud. It's not even all my contacts, just a few even so. Why?

If they were on the device via iCloud, you might be able to wipe them off of the device. Since they are just resident on the device, there is nothing you can do (as far I know).
